OLIVIA BUCKTON SMITH

Olivia has just returned from studying acting in New York City. After the yearlong, very prestigious & super fancy course, she has decided to return to her much-loved castle in Melbourne to bring her back down to Earth and stop her head from getting any bigger. She has also been described as “Melbourne’s greatest double threat” and “Not the worst waitress, but pretty damn close”.
Her credits include: Winter Rose Demo singer (2022), Broadway tunes in Times Square (2022) Neverland (2021), Red Cloth (2021), Midsummer Live stream (2020), Count To Ten music video ANIM (2021), What Country Friends Is This? (2019), Ceremony Of The Innocent (2017), Charlies Witches (2020 & 2021), Alice In Wonderland (2019), Rising Waters (2018), Ceremony Of The Innocent (2016-2017), In Like Flynn The Musical  (2017), A Euripides Alcestis (2017), I’d Turn Back (2017).

DARCY TAYLOR

Darcy is a true triple threat, garnering a diploma in music theatre which she studied rigorously through a full time practise. Quite the seasoned performer, Darcy has been involved in numerous Panorama productions as well as Astral and Windmill theatre. Their most noteworthy roles to date with those companies include Ulla in the producers, Maria in the Sound of music and Valentine in Mary Poppins. Darcy’s skills extend beyond the stage, as they are a professional makeup artist, director and choreographer whom works regularly with Dwan A Dance, South Coast Dance School, Sprout theatre Company and EmJ fitness and dance, mentoring aspiring performers.

 

ANNE GASKO

Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Music Theatre from Ballarat University and since then has performed in workshops, concerts, and shows across Australia. Credits include Joanie in The Full Monty (StageArt), Ernani (Opera Australia in co-production with La Scala), and Happy End (Victorian Opera). Anne has also been involved in the workshop and performance of several new shows including Electric Dreams, Post – A New Musical and the world premiere of Songs of the Northern River. Most recently, Anne was part of the regional tour of Menopause the Musical (SK Entertainment – 2022) as the swing and performed in over 40 shows during that run.

Anne has a passion for new works and in 2017 she founded ‘Something Blue Productions’, an independent theatre company aimed at supporting the creation and development of new Australian theatre. Anne is represented by UE Agency, and thanks Katie and the team for their ongoing support. 

 

 

BROCK DUNSTAN

This middle aged man often compared to Tarzan and brunette Thor has been performing in musicals from the young age of 9.

He started out his professional performing career like most artists waiting tables and serving drinks.

At the age of 21 decided he wanted to take performing more serious so he went we’re all serious actors go Movie world on the GoldCoast where he spent 5 years performing in the stunt show and portraying some of your favourite heroes.

Although he loves Australia with a passion he was gifted the opportunity to travel to China to pursue a life of Disney magic where he spent 2 years prior to the pandemic.

Upon his return from his magical contract he desired to be taken more seriously as an actor and did what all artists do and move to Melbourne.

7 months into his acting training at 16th street studios, Lockdown happened.

The pandemic shut down the arts industry and sent this Ex-Disney star into a state of unknown.

At the end of 2021 he landed a role on a U.S tv show called The Young Rock playing the role of famous wrestler Mick Foley.

And now he takes on a new role in Witches and Britches new show ApocoWitch.

JOEL HADE

A student of Musical Theatre for 30 years, Joel trained for 9 years at Victorian Youth Theatre and spent 2017 attaining his Diploma of Theatre Arts at Melbourne Polytechnic. He has performed in dozens of local productions, most recently as Lonny in Panorama Theatre Company’s season of Rock of Ages and Sir Toby Belch in GJ Production’s Twelfth Night. Joel also appeared as Elwood Blues for The Blues Brothers 21st Century Australasian Tribute Show.

Joel is also a board member of Cactus Musicals and amateur theatre company, providing unique theatrical experiences. His love of music leads him to the unique opportunity to start Dancing Through Life, a company which focuses on enjoyment of dance and exposure to the many different styles of dance available catering to people of all abilities. Joel is now in his 2nd year as a member of the Witches in Britches cast..

PAULA WILLIAMS

Paula started performing professionally as a teenager in pantomimes throughout Australia with such characters as Humphrey B. Bear, Bugs Bunny, The Simpsons, Tom and Jerry and many more. In 2001, she won the opportunity to work as a Mae West impersonator at Universal Studios Japan. A few years later she toured NZ and Australia with “Menopause the Musical” and also performed in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Melbourne’s State Theatre with Thomas the Tank Engine and was Dance Captain for the Dubai and Melbourne seasons. Her TV credits include playing “Isabella Jordan” on Neighbours and in 2005 returned as “Bethany Lilley”. Other TV credits include Blue Heelers, Full Frontal, various TV commercials and a new Australian sitcom ‘Fix Her Up’ where she plays a photographer. She recently had a small part in a Chinese Feature Film “A Journey Through Time With Anthony”. She trained at The Dance Factory in Richmond since she was 8 and now works there teaching Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Singing/Drama classes. She also studied Musical Theatre at the National Theatre in 2002 where she was selected as a Showcase performer.

Witches in Britches has been home to Paula since 2003. She would return throughout the years to perform in shows then go on to write and direct 4 successful shows, the latest being “Charlie’s Witches”.
